Under what circumstances could I apply for a hardship drivers license?

New Driver Checklist
If your drivers license has been suspended, you may be eligible to apply for a hardship license (also, depending on your state, known as a probationary license, restricted license, occupational license, work license, limited license, or Cinderella license).

Apply for a Hardship Permit

Eligibility is generally on a case-by-case basis, determined by the presiding court. Some of the factors that can be used for or against you include prior offenses, your driving record, and the reason behind your suspension.

If you are granted a driving hardship license, the court will dictate the circumstances for which you may drive. To aid your case for a restricted license, hiring legal representation is strongly encouraged.
