Your personal driving records may have restrictions, endorsements or a combination of both. The most common restriction on motor vehicle driving records is the need for glasses or contacts, which will also appear on your driver’s license. If you are licensed to operate farm equipment, drive a moped or use recreational vehicles on public roads, your endorsements will be reflected in the appropriate section of your certified driving record.

You may need to check your driving record online to be sure that the restrictions and endorsements are correct. If you believe there is an error on your driving records, your local DMV can provide you with the appropriate paperwork you’ll need to file. When the restrictions on a license have been lifted, it may take several weeks to update your driving record; frequent driving record checks are often necessary to ensure that your record is correct.
