What are the IL title transfer requirements for selling used cars? Illinois
Title Transfer After You Sell Car
Here's what you need to do after selling your used car:- Remove your IL license plates. They belong to you. You can, if you desire, transfer the plates to another vehicle under your name.
- Sign and print your name in the title's Assignment of Title Area.
- Include an odometer reading on the car title.
No Illinois bill of sale is required. However, for just-in-case purposes, it's always wise to keep a copy for your personal files.
Used Cars Titles
Before putting your used car on the market, take the time to order a vehicle history report. It will help you set a price, based on fair market value, and establish credibility with potential buyers.Post Comment for "What are the IL title transfer requirements for selling used cars?"
