Car Tags and License Plates

Visit any Illinois Secretary of State (SOS) office and complete an Application for Vehicle Transaction(s) (Form VSD 190). This form cannot be downloaded. Have a check, money order or credit card (American Express, MasterCard, Discover, Visa) to pay $20 vehicle registration sticker replacement fee. If you need both a license plateand a sticker, the fee jumps to $26.
