Car Tags and License Plates
The Illinois license plate sticker fee list is as follows:- Car registration sticker - $20
- Vehicle registration sticker and one license plate - $26
- Car registration sticker and two license plates - $29
Applying for a replacement license plate sticker is easy. Visit any IL Secretary of State (SOS) office and complete an Application for Vehicle Transaction(s) (Form VSD 190). This form cannot be downloaded. Pay with cash, check or credit card (Discover, Visa, American Express, MasterCard).
