Pennsylvania Title Transfer
PennDOT has a firm policy of issuing PA titles for vehicles only after you have handed over the current out-of-state title. This can make title transfer a challenge if you lease or finance your vehicle. Be prepared for a few extra steps if you are relocating into PA. In some instances, you might need to re-finance your vehicle with a Pennsylvania lender.NOTE: When purchasing a new car, your dealer should handle the initial process directly with PennDOT for issuing a new title.
