How often must I renew my CDL?
Each state has different guidelines as to when you must renew your commercial driver license (CDL). Commercial license renewal guidelines and renewal due dates are established by local Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
The guidelines are listed in DMV drivers manual. The purpose of the guidelines is to ensure that each CDL driver remains physically and mentally fit to operate the motor vehicles.
