48 of the 50 U.S. states require you to register your personal watercraft with the DMV or another state agency that handles boat registration. The only exceptions are Alaska, where the arctic weather hardly accommodates Sea Doo vehicles, and Maryland, where registration is not required for watercraft fewer than 16 feet.
