FL Motorcycle License Process (18 or Older)

If you’re at least 18 years old, you simply need to do the following to obtain your motorcycle license:

  1. Pass a written motorcycle test (see below).
  2. Successfully complete a Florida-approved motorcycle safety course.
  3. Pass a motorcycle riding test.
  4. Get your motorcycle drivers license.
It’s important to note that you must take the motorcycle driver training/drivers ed class; the Florida Rider Training Program (FRTP) applies no matter how old you are, as it’s not just for a younger rider working for a motorcycle permit.

Motorcycle Practice Test

Why not take a written practice test to help you get ready for your official knowledge test? Doing so is a great way to test your knowledge level, and indicate which areas need more studying time. Plus, these tests reinforce the information in your mind, which makes it easier to recall on testing day.
