Do I need an appointment to take the NJ motorcycle test? New Jersey
Making Motorcycle Test Appointments
You must pass two tests to obtain a New Jersey motorcycle license - knowledge and skills - and whether you need to make an appointment depends on which test you're taking.Written Motorcycle Test (Knowledge)
No appointment is necessary for the knowledge test, which is needed to obtain a NJ motorcycle permit. Visit any MVC driver license office at your convenience to take the exam.
Study the state's motorcycle manual to prepare for the test. This manual is a one-stop shop for all things related to motorcycles in NJ, and all of the exam questions are based only on information contained in the manual. You can obtain a free copy from any MVC office, or you can download one from the MVC website.
After studying the manual, make sure you're ready by taking a practice test. You can find these online many independent sites. Don't limit yourself to only one test; take as many as needed until you feel certain of acing the actual exam.
Motorcycle Drivers License Test (Skills)
You must make an appointment for the road test. You can do this online from the MVC website. Pass this test and you'll earn a motorcycle license.
Prepare with a Motorcycle Safety Course
Although the MVC does not mandate enrolling in a safety course, it strongly recommends it. The course is similar to a motorcycle drivers ed class, with a strong emphasis on teaching safe riding techniques. In addition, completion of this motorcycle driver training course will earn you a waiver on the motorcycle road test.Post Comment for "Do I need an appointment to take the NJ motorcycle test?"
