- Practice your motorcycle riding skills with a licensed motorcycle rider and then make an appointment for the motorcycle skills test to demonstrate your motorcycle safety skills, or,
- Enroll in the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program (PAMSP), completion of which will waive your requirement to pass the skills test.

Passing the motorcycle written test will be easier if you study the manual and take at least one long practice test. Aim for one with 50 to 100 multiple-choice questions. Today these practice tests are available for purchase from online drivers ed companies.

Most people cannot just get onto motorcycles and know what to do; there are many elements involved. Though Pennsylvania does not require that you take a formal training course, it will only help you stay alive. You might also get an insurance discount; ask your insurer.
