What are the fees for motorcycle registration and registration renewal in FL? Florida

FL Motorcycle Registration and Renewal Fees

It's difficult to give a precise answer, because this can vary depending on what type of plate you have; but, the basic fees for registration and registration renewal are as follows:

  • Registration and renewal for motorcycles: $41.15
  • Registration and renewal for mopeds: $34.40
Those with motorized scooters don't need to deal with registrations and therefore don't need to deal with a fee for either registration or renewal.

Renewing Your Motorcycle Registration

To renew your motorcycle registration, just follow the same process as a vehicle registration. Florida offers four methods of renewing: online, mail, phone, and in person. However, depending on your situation, each option may not be available to you. However, you can always renew at a county tax collector's office.

Just don't try motorcycle riding on an expired registration, even if you're just past your deadline. You could be pulled over for driving with an invalid registration, and face a traffic ticket and fine.
