- Moped registration renewal: $15
Initial Motorcycle Registration
When you register your motorcycle for the first time you must do it in person at any NJ MVC office. (The same is true for mopeds and scooters.)Upon registering and paying your fee, you will receive one license plate (unlike cars, motorcycles only require one plate) a registration decal, and a registration card.
Motorcycle Registration Renewal
The MVC makes registration renewal easy by giving you four renewal options: in person, by mail, by phone, and online. It's very important, from a legal standpoint, to renew in a timely fashion. If you're caught motorcycle riding without a valid vehicle registration you will be fined, ticketed, and possibly face community service.Post Comment for "What are the fees for motorcycle registration and registration renewal in NJ?"
