First-Time Applicants for FL ID Cards

A Florida identification card is a great way for children, teens, senior citizens, and others who may not possess a drivers license to have a photo means of identification.

To apply for your ID card, here's what to bring to the driver license office:

  • Two acceptable forms of identification.
  • One proof of date of birth.
  • Two proofs of residential address.
  • One proof of Social Security number.
  • One proof of legal presence (non- U.S. citizens only).
  • The $25 state ID card fee.
See the FHSMV site for a complete list of acceptable documents for each category.

Applicants must be at least five years old to get an ID card.
