  • School bus
  • Public transportation bus
  • Farm vehicle
  • Motorcycle
  • Truck weighing more than 26,000 pounds
What about when riding in all other motor vehicles? You must obey the following safety laws:

  • Ages 6-17: A safety belt must be worn (no matter the seat location.
  • Ages 4-5: Must wear a safety belt or be in a federally approved child safety sea.
  • Ages 0-3: Must wear a federally approved child-restraint car seat.
