FL Car Safety Seat Laws
Yes. Florida's child car seat laws or child restraint laws do not apply when riding in a:- School bus
- Public transportation bus
- Farm vehicle
- Motorcycle
- Truck weighing more than 26,000 pounds
- Ages 6-17: A safety belt must be worn (no matter the seat location.
- Ages 4-5: Must wear a safety belt or be in a federally approved child safety sea.
- Ages 0-3: Must wear a federally approved child-restraint car seat.
