Statutes Covered in the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code

Pennsylvania (PA) drivers can find statutes regarding state vehicle rules and regulations, including information on receiving a traffic ticket or a speeding ticket, in Title 67. Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation (PennDOT) updates and distributes the PA vehicle codes.

Articles One and Two

The first article of the PA vehicle code covers preliminary rules and regulations that PennDOT is reviewing but has not yet mandated. Article Two of the PA vehicle statute starts with the “Implements of Husbandry.” The section lists the types of vehicles that are strictly used for agricultural purposes (i.e., tractors) in the state.

Articles Seven and Eight

Article Seven, titled “Vehicle Characteristics” covers vehicle equipment, inspection, materials, and devices.
