Renew ND Learners Permit

Your North Dakota driving permit expires one year after issuance. Should it expire, just visit a drivers license office. Bring cash or a check to pay the $8 fee, along with your old permit, and you'll receive a renewed learners permit.

You don't have to pass any sort of written or visual test, so there's no need to take a practice permit test.

Replace ND Drivers Permit

If you lose your permit, it becomes unreadable, or it contains incorrect information, you'll need to replace it.

To get a duplicate permit, head to a drivers license office with proof of identity and date of birth. Also supply your Social Security number and payment for the $8 fee.
