- Proof of identification.
- Cash or a check to pay the $15 drivers permit replacement fee.
- A completed Parental Authorization Affidavit, if you’re younger than 18.
You may also order a replacement learners permit online, from the DOL website, but only if you meet the following requirements:
- You're 18 or older.
- You had your photo on your permit.
- You have a credit card (American Express, Visa, MasterCard) to pay the $15 duplicate fee.
Renew WA Drivers Permit
Permits are valid for one year. The DOL allows for one renewal. You'll need to renew your permit before applying for a drivers license.
To apply, visit any DOL office with:
- Proper identification.
- Cash or a check to pay the $20 learners permit renewal fee.
- A completed Parental Authorization Affidavit, if you’re younger than 18.
After studying the manual you'll also want to take at least one practice permit test. These can be found online from a variety of different websites.
