What is the fee for an AZ driver license? Arizona
Arizona Driver License FeesIn Arizona, driver license fees are based on age. The schedule for driver license fees is as follows:
- Drivers ages 16-39 pay $25 for their license.
- Drives ages 40-44 pay $20 for their license
- Drivers ages 45-49 pay $15 for their license.
- Drivers ages 50 and above pay $10 for their license.
A separate convenience fee may be charged if you choose to apply for or renew your license at one of the AZ Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) third-party service stations located throughout the state.
Fee for Identification CardsAn Arizona drivers license gives you the right to legally operate a motor vehicle, but it's also commonly used as a form of identification when writing checks, filling out a job application, or applying for government assistance.
If you are unable to obtain a drivers license due to a suspension or medical problem that affects your ability to operate a motor vehicle safely, you can apply for an identification card.
The fee for a non-driver identification card is $12. However, this fee is waived for persons age 65 or older or anyone who is receiving federal Supplemental Security Income disability payments.
