Making a CT DMV Appointment

Well, that depends.

You don't need an appointment to simply apply for a Connecticut drivers license, nor do you need one to take the vision or written drivers license test.

But, you will need an appointment for the road test. You may set the appointment at any full-service office (or the Winsted office). While you may make the driving test appointment on the same day you pass the written license test, you can't set the appointment for the same day.

Call (860) 263-5700 (Hartford area) or (800) 842-8222 if you have any other questions regarding driver license appointments.

Prepare with a Practice Test

Have you passed your knowledge test? If not, consider taking a practice test, as it can increase the chances you'll have the official exam.
