How do I update my Missouri driver license if I currently have an expired license? Missouri
License Renewal for an Expired License
If your Missouri drivers license has been expired longer than six months you will be required to pass all four driver license tests – vision, writing, road sign, driving – in order to renew your license.Reinstate License Without Testing
If your MO drivers license has been expired for less than six months, you'll need to visit any DOR office with:
- Proof of Missouri residency.
- Proof of lawful presence.
- Either your expired drivers license or proof of identity.
- Cash or a money order (only a select few DOR offices accept debit and credit cards) to pay either $10 (three-year license) or $20 (six-year license).
Reinstate License With Testing
To prepare for the written test, study the state's drivers manual and take at least one practice permit test. When you're test-ready, visit any DOR office with:
- Proof of Missouri residency.
- Proof of lawful presence.
- Either your expired drivers license or proof of identity.
- Cash or a money order (only a select few DOR offices accept debit and credit cards) to pay all applicable fees.
- Proof of name and date of birth.
- A working vehicle that's legally inspected and insured.
- Your permit.
Driving With Expired License
Do not attempt to drive with an expired license. If stopped, you'll be issued a traffic ticket along with a steep fine and points will be added to your driving record.Post Comment for "How do I update my Missouri driver license if I currently have an expired license?"
