Montana Driver License Test Appointment
A driving test appointment is only required if you test at any one of the following driver exam site locations: Billings, Bozeman, Columbus, Hardin, Helena, Miles City, Missoula, Red Lodge, Sidney, Superior, and Townsend. All other driver exam site locations are on a first-come-first-serve basis.You can make an appointment online through the MVD website. To use the online system you'll need to provide your name, date of birth, a daytime phone number, mailing address, and either your driver license number or the last four digits of your Social Security number.

Before Your MT Driving License Test
Before taking the driving license test, be sure to get as much time behind the wheel as possible. Practice in all driving situations, including turning left at light-controlled intersections, and highway driving. You should also take at least one practice test to refresh your grasp of Montana's road rules.When you arrive for your driving test, be sure to have:
- Proof of identity.
- Proof of lawful presence.
- Proof of Montana residency.
- A working vehicle.
