You must also give the DOT a certificate that shows that you completed a general drivers education course. Approved drivers ed vendors are listed at the ND DOT website.Additional documents that you, whether you are a teen or an adult, are required to provide to the DOT must prove your citizenship, residency and identity. If you relocate to ND, within 60 days of moving to the state, visit a DOT Drivers License and Testing center and surrender your out-of-state driver license for a ND drivers license. You do not need an appointment to take the written test. However, an appointment is required to take the driving test.To prepare to pass both tests, study the ND driver’s manual (it’s available at the DOT service center and for download off the DOT website). Take a practice test with a friend or relative based on the information in the manual.
