OK Driver License Fees

The following license fees apply to first-time drivers applying for an Oklahoma drivers license:

  • $4 license test fee.
  • $21.50 permit fee.
  • $21.50 license fee.
First-time drivers in the state of Oklahoma must obtain a permit prior to applying for a drivers license, provided they have never held a drivers license before.

Replacements and Renewals

If your drivers license is lost, damaged, or stolen, you can obtain a replacement license for $10. The fee to renew an expired OK license is $21.50.

Out-of-State Drivers

If you have a valid, out-of-state license, you can apply for an OK drivers license by submitting the following, in addition to the $21.50 license fee, to your local DPS office:

  • Current drivers license.
  • Proof of OK residency.
  • Proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Secondary proof of identity, such as a Social Security card, U.S. passport, or certified birth certificate.
If your out-of-state license is expired, you must pay $4 test fee prior to taking the written license test, the driving test, and the vision exam.
