Tennessee Driver License Auto Insurance Requirements
The Tennessee Department of Safety (DOS) requires that all motor vehicles operated in the state have adequate auto insurance coverage. Minimum levels of liability car insurance that you can have on your motor vehicle in Tennessee (TN) are:- Injury or death to one person: $25,000
- Injury or death to two or more people: $50,000
- Property damage: $15,000
Should your driver license get suspended you might have to complete Form SR-22 each year and submit proof of auto insurance to the TN DOS Financial Responsibility Division each year for as many as five years.
