Is traffic school necessary if I only have one ticket on my driving record?
Traffic school isn’t necessary if you only have one ticket on your driving record, yet traffic school is very beneficial in a couple of ways. It will prevent more points from appearing on your driving record and prevent your insurance premiums from rising. Technically, traffic school is never necessary unless it is mandated by a judge as punishment for a driving-related crime, like DUI. Usually, however, traffic school is optional.
Points on Your Driving Record
To determine whether it’s necessary for you, you’d have to look at your own individual circumstances. Since you already have one ticket on your driving record, more than likely another ticket will increase your insurance premiums. If you can’t afford to let that happen, then for all intents and purposes, traffic school is necessary for you. By attending traffic school, you will get the ticket removed from your record and your insurance company will never find out about it, meaning you won’t have to suffer higher insurance premiums.Check Before You Decide
Obviously, if the extra hundreds of dollars in insurance premium don’t matter to you, then you can skip traffic school and save the time and expense of attending. But that’s a decision you need to make for your own circumstances. Before you make any decisions, it’s a good idea to make sure you do, in fact, still have a ticket on your driving record. Remember, tickets come off your record after a few years. So take a moment now and order your driving record online.Post Comment for "Is traffic school necessary if I only have one ticket on my driving record?"
