Replace ID Car Tags/License Plates/Stickers

To replace lost, stolen, or damaged license plates or stickers, you must visit your local county assessor's office.

Bring some sort of acceptable identification, such as your Idaho drivers license or state ID card to the office. Also, have your registration and title with you.

Replacement stickers cost $2. You'll receive license plates or car tags that expire when your previous plates would have expired.

Were your plates stolen? If so, report this theft to your local law enforcement office, and then cancel your plates while at the county assessor's office. You'll get new license plates that will expire at the same time your old plates would have expired.
