You can find road sign test study resources online. These provide comprehensive descriptions, all designed to help you pass the traffic sign test and, ultimately, obtain a drivers license.

Your state's drivers manual is also a good study source for the traffic sign test. Within the manual you'll find several pages devoted to road signs, including traffic signals and pavement markings. Each sign category (regulation, warning, destination, service, recreation/cultural) is covered in detail, complete with full color depictions and accompanying descriptions. You can grab a manual from any DMV office, or by downloading one from your state DMV's Web site.

When studying, be sure to know not only what each sign indicates, but also how to identify by shape and color. For example, you may find a question that asks, "What are the colors of a sign which tells you the distance to the next exit of a highway?" or "A red and white triangular sign at an intersection means?" These questions will be worded in multiple choice form, giving you four potential answers to choose from.

After studying, test your knowledge on a practice test. These too can be found online, or, sometimes, inside driver manuals.
