The Oklahoma Tax Commission will either mail or e-mail you a registration renewal notice well before the expiration date of your current car registration. If, for whatever reason, you do not receive a renewal reminder, you're still accountable for renewing your vehicle registration in a timely manner.

Registration Renewal by Mail

To renew by mail, complete your registration renewal notice. Be sure to include all requested information, including your vehicle identification number. Mail the notice, along with a check (fee amount will be posted on the renewal card) made payable to the Oklahoma Tax Commission, to:

OK Registration Renewal in Person

Visit your local tag agency with:

  • Your registration renewal notice, if available.
  • Proof identity.
  • Proof of car insurance. 
  • Payment for your vehicle registration fee.

Online Registration Renewal

To use this option you'll need:

  • Proof of insurance. 
  • The last four digits of your vehicle identification number (VIN). 
  • Your tag number.
  • Your drivers license number.
  • A valid credit card (Visa, Discover, American Express, MasterCard) or debit card.
