The DOR will send you a registration renewal notice about six weeks prior to the expiration date of your current vehicle registration.

If you do not receive a notice, or misplace it, you'll still be able to renew. You can instead substitute any document showing your license plate number or vehicle identification number (VIN). If you'd still prefer a renewal notice in your hands, dial (888) 871-3171.
