How can I find my ticket?

If you have recently received a traffic ticket, but you have misplaced the ticket since, contact your local DMV office to inquire about the options available to you.

Typically, in the case of a speeding ticket, you can choose to plead guilty to the sited violation and pay all required fines, or you can choose to contest the ticket in court on the specified court date.

Traffic School

Some violations require you complete a defensive driving or other traffic school course in order to clear your driving record. You must speak with the court handling your ticket to find out if traffic school is an option (or, in some cases, a requirement) for you.

If a defensive driving course is required of you, you must present a certificate of completion by the specified court date.

Online Traffic School

In some instances, you can choose to attend an online traffic school. These Internet-based traffic schools are growing in popularity, but before you sign up for one make sure your court will allow it and make sure the one you’re interested in is approved by your court.
