Hawaii law mandates car insurance for all registered vehicles. To legally comply, you must carry the following amounts of liability insurance:

  • $20,000 for bodily injury or death for one person in any accident.
  • $40,000 for bodily injury or death for more than one person in any accident.
  • $10,000 for property damage.
  • $10,000 for personal injury protection (PIP).
