What is an auto insurance claim?
An auto insurance claim is what you file with your car insurance company when seeking financial compensation for damages sustained to your vehicle following an accident.
Upon submitting a claim, your insurance company will have an adjustor inspect the vehicle, and, if applicable, assess the police report, interview witnesses, and obtain accident accounts from both you and the other involved party. If the adjustor does not find you at fault, you'll be issued a check from your insurance company. The amount, in most instances, will be based on estimates submitted by a recognized auto shop or an auto appraiser.
NOTE: You'll be compensated, regardless of fault, if you're protected by comprehensive and/or collision coverage.

Submitting Claims Insurance
You'll want to submit an accident claim, even if you're at fault, with your car insurance company as quickly as possible. Most reputable auto insurance providers offer 24-hour filing service. This will allow you, if desired, to even file from the accident scene. The number to call can be found on your car auto insurance identification card. Upon phoning, an insurance company operator will guide you through the filing process.Post Comment for "What is an auto insurance claim?"
