How long is temporary registration valid?
Usually anywhere from 10 to 30 days. A quick check of heavily populated states like Texas, Florida, and Ohio reveals all issue temporary registrations valid for 30 days.
Again, though, your state's motor vehicle agency may issue temporary registrations for longer or shorter periods. Just contact your local branch or check the agency's Web site to find your answer.
Be sure you don't drive with an expired temporary registration, or you'll risk getting a ticket with a nasty fine. Exceeding your temporary vehicle registration by a day or two may not seem like a big deal to you, but it is to law enforcement.
