Consider an online traffic school or defensive driving course, which many states accept to dismiss a traffic ticket or speeding ticket. Online classes allow you to take the traffic school course whenever you like. If your schedule only permits you to take a class at two in the morning, you can do it.  If you need to break up a class while your baby is taking naps, you can do it. These course are also quite affordable; you can find them for between $15 and $25 or sometimes even less.

Many states now accept online traffic school as meeting their defensive driving requirements. Check with your state to see if there is an official list of accepted schools. If you have questions about a particular school, you can contact the court and ask if they will accept a certificate from that school.

But even if your state won't automatically dismiss a speeding ticket based on a traffic school class, they might be inclined to lower your fine, your license points, or possibly get you an auto insurance discount. Check with your insurance provider to be sure.
