In addition to taking a driver's practice test, how else should I prepare for my drivers ed and permit exams?

New Driver Checklist

Don't limit yourself to only one driver's practice test. Take as many you can until you feel absolute certain of passing the drivers ed and permit exams. Also, pore over the course material taught in your drivers education course. All of the exam material is based on information that was presented in class. There are no trick questions. Grasp the course material and you should have no problem passing either exam and moving closer to obtaining a drivers license.

Be sure, before enrolling, that your school of choice has the approval of your state. This is especially true for driver ed online courses. Even if the school advertises itself as being state-approved, it's always wise to do a double-check. Most DMV Web sites are good about providing a list of approved programs. The danger of enrolling in a school that does not meet state approval is that its curriculum may differ from material covered on a permit exam. And plus, your state will not accept a Certificate of Completion from an unacknowledged school.
