What is drivers ed 2?
Drivers Ed 2 is an interactive online game that combines entertainment with education with the intent of helping you obtain a drivers license.
To begin you choose from one of four animated instructors ranging from Jessica, a saucy looking female police officer, to Johnny a donut-eating cop. Your instructor will then guide you through five animated driving situations: parallel parking, turning left at a busy four-way stop, turning left at a green light, proceeding through a four-way stop and pulling out of a parking place.
Using your computer's keyboard (the space key serves as the brakes, the down arrow as reverse...) you then try navigate your animated vehicle through each situation. Any mistake stops the game, prompting an immediate explanation. For instance, running a stop sign at a busy four-way stop produces the following reminder: "Remember the 'First Come, First Go' rule when you approach a four-way stop. If there is already another car stopped, yield the right-of-way."
Although the game is fun, it's based on material taught in your drivers education class, helping explain the rules of the road. And while it should not be considered as a substitute for enrolling in a driver ed online course, nor as a prime study source for passing a drivers ed exam, it does serve as an entertaining complement to the usual practice test.
You can play the game, for free, at most online arcade sites.
