OK, here are NH drivers ed requirements:

  • All drivers between the ages of 16 and 18 must complete a drivers education course. 
  • Complete 30 hours of classroom instruction with a certified drivers ed course.
  • Complete 10 hours of driving with a certified driver ed instructor.
  • Complete six hours of observing with a certified driver ed instructor.
  • Finish the course and earn a Certificate of Completion.
  • Complete 40 hours (outside of class) of supervised driving with a licensed driver who is 25 or older. This must be documented on a Driver's Out-of-Class Log Sheet.

In order for your course certificate to apply towards your New Hampshire drivers license, you must enroll in an approved program. All public schools offer drivers ed, or you can enroll with one of 66 approved private driving schools in the state. Currently New Hampshire does not recognize drivers ed online courses.
