Yes.

A field sobriety test is far from a perfect measurement of whether you're guilty of drunk driving. So, even though you may perform well on the test, if the law enforcement officer overseeing it still suspects you of DUI or DWI based on your driving behavior, the way you respond to questions, or your appearance, you can be arrested.

If that happens, you'll likely be asked to take a chemical test - blood, breath, or urine - at the police station to confirm the officer's suspicions. (You may also be asked to take a breath test while being pulled over.)

If your blood alcohol content (BAC) is above the legal limit for your state, you'll face drunk driving charges.

You can choose to contest these charges, of course. But, if you do, it's smart to consider using the services of a DUI lawyer who can clearly explain your state's DUI laws, as well as the penalties associated with violating them. A skilled DUI lawyer will also ensure your rights are upheld, and may be able to have your charges dismissed or lowered, or perhaps reduce your punishment.
